3 MIN READ TIME
1:48 Scale

ONE PROJECT LEADS TO ANOTHER

I’ve just completed the Airfix Bedford that appears in this issue, and I am now on to another project.

The said sacrifice this time is the Tamiya Tilly. I seem to be on a pick-up bent at the moment and I don’t really know why. After each build I’m in a bit of a Twilight Zone frame of mind, not really knowing what to do next. I shuffle from one kit to the next, thinking to myself, I want to do something simple this time, something that won’t take much time.

I had envisaged doing a 1:48 aircraft, but each time I do this I’m drawn back to armour. I think this happens because aircraft take more time and added to that you have to detail cockpits, engines and wheel wells. I look at kits and think to myself, how can I improve this? That in itself is a problem. Improving a kit takes time. Sure you have a lot of aftermarket out there to take the edge off but if you are crazy like me, well that’s just not enough.
