TIME TAKES IT’S TOLL II

by Dennis Lee Gerber

“Time Takes It’s Toll II” The Effects of Wind, Rain, Sun and Battle Damage on Armored Fighting Vehicles is not just another armor photo book. This book features hundreds of photographs of armored fighting vehicles that have been parked outside for decades out in the elements exposed to the hot sun, wind and rain. Some have significant battle damage. They take on a character and beautiful patina that is stunningly amazing in all their faded glory. Photos are from Camp Roberts, California, the Patton Museum near Desert Center, California where General Patton trained 2 million troops during WWII and the Yuma Proving Ground near Yuma, Arizona. This book also features armor and aircraft models made by the author using weathering techniques consulting photos from this book. Also included are photos of original WWII barracks showing intense weathering and other surprising photography at Desert Center, California. “Time Takes It’s Toll II” is a perfect reference for modelers and armor enthusiasts and a fine companion of “Time Takes It’s Toll” The Effects of Wind, Rain and Sun on Vintage Aircraft. It is a very unique book with truly amazing photography.
