This particular kit of the Panzer IV has been in the Italeri catalogue since 1974 when the company was originally known as Italaerei. It has been re-issued a few times over the years by them and also different manufacturers such as Testors, Tomy and Zvezda.
As you can imagine then, this is not going to be ‘state-of-the-art’ tooling as details are typical of kits made in the 1970’s such as the turret is devoid of any screw-head details such as those found on Dragon Panzer IV’s and although a tread pattern is represented on the top side of the fenders, it isn’t replicated underneath.
So what do you get for your money? In the box there are seven sprues moulded in grey polystyrene, vinyl onepiece tracks, a metal barrel and (it has to be said) a rather nice decal sheet.
