Balaton Modell 1:35 Balkancar EP001
When I learnt that Balaton Modell had released a 1:35 scale kit of the, I knew that I must build it!
I love niche modelling subjects and an electric platform truck would certainly fit this category. Now I only needed a vignette idea as such a small vehicle could not be displayed alone in the showcase.
Platform trucks are often used for transportation of luggage and mail at railway stations, so I chose to depict the EP001 on a rail platform.
And why “Monday…”? Well, it’s the day when something bad is just bound to happen. For example, a bag can be accidentally torn, resulting in the mail being scattered along the tracks… n
The model offered by this Hungarian manufacturer is fully cast in resin. The only other material is a length of copper wire which represents the steering column.
