I was reading some old modelling magazines the other day and the thought crossed my mind, what makes a model stand out?
Is it the paint finish, the weathering?
What’s the big idea?
The list is endless really, and it lies in your own personal orientation and preference. Going through those old magazines I concluded that two things that stand out for me are the idea and the little things.
For me, I like detail and the little additions that make a model stand out, the thought behind it and the execution of that idea. It could be anything really from a small item that you normally don’t see to a large idea that is done in such a way that you think to yourself wow, that was maybe not done well, but boy I like the idea behind it.
