The Centurion was the primary British and Australian (amongst others) main battle tank of the post-Second World War period. First used in Korea, subsequently Vietnam it was a successful tank design, with upgrades, for many decades.
The Centurion Mk, 5/1 featured the 84 mm (20 pounder) main gun, increased glacis armour, two coaxial machine guns - one .30 (7.62 mm) Browning & one .50 (12.7 mm) caliber Browning for ranging. Last year Vespid expanded their 1:72 scale family to include the Centurion Tank Mk 5/1 Royal Australian Armoured Corps (Vietnam War Version).
Now Vespid has taken the logical step to release the largely similar British Centurion Tank Mk 5/1-4.RTR.
This latest Centurion comprises 266 parts in grey coloured plastic, 70 brass photo-etched parts on two frets, one pink 3D printed parts, one turned metal brass gun barrel, four lengths of twisted wire and decals for five Vietnam War marking options.
