MusicTech  |  Nov-16

The idea of this month’s MusicTech is to give you a flavour of what it’s like to record a band, with all the technical know-how that goes with it. We asked MT expert Mike Hillier to imagine you are sitting watching him prepare the studio and mic the band up and in doing so, Mike offers a hell of a lot of advice. Like I say, it’s like you’re with him...

At the other end of the scale we have the new Pioneer Toraiz, a unit that, on the face of it, is packed with DJ appeal. Yet dig beneath the surface and you’ll find an incredibly powerful piece of hardware for the music producer. Talking of scales, we go from dance music remixing and production with Mason (p34) to mastering it with Label Worx. So we cover the complete process of recording to release which, quite handily, brings us right back to our cover feature! The November issue of MusicTech is out now!

Within every issue of MusicTech readers learn about music production and recording, ways to improve their technique and tracks to inspire their creativity. If recreating vintage studio sounds excites you, then you’ll be glad to hear that every issue includes hands-on guides to teach you different areas of creating music. Packed full of gear reviews and pro tips too, a MusicTech magazine subscription is the perfect gift for anyone wanting to create and master their music.

Written by musicians and industry experts, you will learn how to make your music stand out and add different flavours to your mixes from the pros themselves. Maybe you’re eager to build your own studio and share it with your community of music enthusiasts? Or perhaps you just want to stay up to date with the latest music news or new tech releases? Whatever your passion, you’re sure to find it within a MusicTech digital magazine subscription

Great Magazine please do more software content and some more freeware reviews. It's getting harder to pick the best of the Freeware VST and DAW lot. But could I ask that you do a Cakewalk by Bandlab review. One thing that gets me is that so much on what is in Cakewalk already is still only now coming to Studio One and other paid for DAW's. Yet you magazines avoid mentioning that. Please reach out to the Cakewalk Backers and write a really good review of a free product that quite honestly is fantastic. Reviewed Tuesday, 24 March 2020
