NHS HIGHLAND is asking people not to visit family or friends in hospital if they have flu symptoms or are in contact with someone with flu.
Catherine Stokoe, head of infection control for NHS Highland, said: ‘Flu is circulating and it is really important everyone plays their part in limiting the spread.
‘We ask that hospital visits are limited to two visitors per patient and that children under the age of 16 and pregnant women refrain from visiting. We also ask that anyone with flu or respiratory symptoms don’t visit hospitals or care homes.’
