Premier Inn given green light in Oban

A PLAN to build an 81-bedroom Premier Inn in Oban, by demolishing the disused bowling alley in Shore Street, has been approved by Argyll and Bute Council.

The planning application, submitted by the hotel brand’s owner Whitbread PLC in November, is for a four-storey building of contemporary design with a restaurant and bar and 90 car parking spaces on the 0.88 acre site.
