Loch Melfort Hotel is family owned and run by Calum and Rachel Ross. Stunningly situated 18 miles south of Oban, with views stretching towards Jura, Islay and beyond, the hotel is the perfect place to stop for lunch or dinner at Chartroom Bistro, next door to the world famous National Trust for Scotland Arduaine Gardens. With a play park, hens and Highland cows, not to mention good rock pools by the beach, there is plenty to keep the kids happy too.
In 2015 Calum won the Highlands and Islands Tourism Ambassador Award, reflecting great hospitality and customer service. The kitchen team is led by local Michael Knowles, who is passionate about supporting local producers and foraging for the wild ingredients Argyll is famous for.
