CLAGGAN residents got together at the weekend for a fun-filled Easter event.
Claggan Residents Association organised a children’s Easter fun night at An Drochaid last Friday to raise money for the group which aims to promote the interests of residents on matters including housing and the environment.
Committee member Armando Barcenas told the Lochaber Times: ‘It was absolutely fantastic and I think the youngsters reall enjoyed themselves. By holding the Easter party for the children, we were able to introduce ourselves to the community to make sure people know what the association is and that it is there for them. We wanted to tell them to come along and find out what we can do for them. It was a good opportunity to talk to them. There were people who said they were keen to have a youth club. That is a project we could do if we were able to get the confidence of the parents in the community. Everything is about volunteering and we need to get everyone involved to see how we can make Claggan an even better place to live.’
