THE REVEREND Kiki MacRae was guest speaker at the latest meeting of Fort William’s Scottish Women’s Institute.
Mr MacRae spoke about his trips to Rwanda in 2014 and earlier this year. On his first visit, Mr MacRae was visiting The Good Samaritan Project funded by the Scottish Bible Society. He spoke of how members of the local churches cook and feed the patients and their visitors in the hospital and the training of women in various crafts, including basket making, sewing and agriculture enabling them to support themselves and their families.
He said one of the aims of the project is to bring people together from both sides of the genocide conflict when one million people were murdered in 100 days.
