COUNCIL officials are looking for a single site where contractors working on Oban’s new high school can leave their vehicles without causing congestion.
Pensioner Angus MacPhee previously made a stand against workmen parking their vans outside his home in Lynn Gardens by creating a barricade of wheelie bins.
Mr MacPhee, 69, is worried the vehicles taking up residents’ parking spaces could block family, friends, nurses and emergency services from getting access to people living there. Mr MacPhee said: ‘I’m sick of it. I want the boys to earn their money, I want the school to get its new site finished but we also want to be left alone and for them to park elsewhere. We’ve had enough of it.’
