A YOUNG man from Argyll and Bute has been chosen to represent Scotland at this year’s Commonwealth Youth Parliament in Canada.
Jamie Murray from Rothesay and Erin McCauley from Cunningham South, were the only two selected from 150 members of the Scottish Youth Parliament to represent the country at the event in the British Columbia in November.
The Commonwealth Youth Parliament is an annual event held in a different Commonwealth region each year. Up to 66 young people from across the Commonwealth will experience various aspects of parliamentary democracy and will have a unique opportunity to connect with other young people from across the world.
