Thief fell off bike

BETWEEN 10pm on Friday January 12 and 11.45am on Saturday January 13, a men’s mountain bike was stolen from a common close in George Street, Oban.

Subsequently, the bike was recovered after a man aged 36 fell from it on Corran Brae, Oban, about 11pm on Sunday January 14. The man suffered injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The man was also allegedly found in possession of a number of tablets (suspected to be diazapam) which will be analysed.
