HIGHLANDS and Islands police reported 37 people in connection with alleged drink or drug-related driving offences over the festive period.
Road policing officers were involved in a national campaign aimed at preventing and detecting drink driving. The 31-day initiative involved high visibility patrols across the country cracking down on people who get behind the wheel under the influence.
In the Highlands and Islands, a total of 654 drivers returned a negative sample after being stopped and tested.
