OBAN’S McCaig’s Tower lit up blue last week to mark this year’s World Parkinson’s Day on April 11 as part of a global drive to raise awareness of the condition.
Every week 30 people in Scotland are told they have Parkinson’s. It affects more than 12,000 people in Scotland – around one in 375 adults.
Parkinson’s is a degenerative neurological condition, for which there currently is no cure.
