THE AGE Scotland charity is urging Lochaber residents to take part in a survey on the future of Scottish Government-funded free transport.
The consultation, open to people of all ages, closes on Friday November 17.
The charity, together with Highland Senior Citizens Network, will be hosting a presentation about the concessionary transport scheme at a meeting in Kilmallie Free Church, Caol, Fort William, on Wednesday October 25. The consultation has been organised by the Scottish Government on the future of the scheme, including a proposal to raise the eligibility age to 65, in line with the women’s state pension age, to save money.
