Members, staff , friends and former colleagues got together at Glencruitten Golf Club to celebrate 25 years since the official opening of Lorne Resource Centre. Councillors Elaine Robertson and Depute Provost Roddy McCuish were guests at the event, at which Mrs Robertson gave a speech about the beginnings of the resource centre, including how it was funded and built. Over the years, the resource centre has undertaken a huge number of activities, including sailing, acting, filming, drama, dancing, carriage driving, outings and awards.

Christine, Janette and Mairi have been with the centre since the days of the previous site and remember the move to the Lorne Resource Centre well. Mrs Robertson was the occupational therapist and social worker and has since become a councillor. She was one of the campaigners who helped get the new centre built.
