New manager for hospice

OBAN Hospice has appointed a manager for the Dove Centre, its new Maggie’s-type facility on Stevenson Street which is due to open in the summer.

Peter Darling has been appointed to take over the project. Mr Darling was previously with Argyll Training. The hospice has recently had feedback from Lorn and Islands Hospital on two patients’ rooms and a relatives’ room which have been refurbished for patients required for palliative care by Oban Hospice.
