Lochaber choir wins silverware at home Mòd

LOCHABER Gaelic Choir won the Margrat Duncan Memorial Trophy at this year’s Royal National Mòd for the third year in a row.

The choir was conducted by Rachel Walker, a music tutor at West Highland College UHI, who won the ladies’ Gold Medal on Wednesday evening.

She wasn’t the only gold medal winner in the ranks – head teacher of Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Loch Abar, John Joe MacNeill, also won the Traditional Gold Medal.
