Western Isles

THE president of An Comunn Gaidhealach has called for ‘further preservation’ of the Gaelic language in the Western Isles’.

Speaking at the Royal National Mòd 2016 official opening event, president John MacLeod said: ‘I firmly believe that the Western Isles should be specifically supported as a language preservation and development area.’
