The busy bees at the Rockfield Centre project have created the Oban Play Map, with lots of great ideas for getting out and about with your family.
Children and families helped to create the map, which features fun spots around town to visit, bike or walk or explore, from Ganavan to Soroba, along with a wealth of ideas for games and activities. The idea for the Play Map came about from stories that volunteers heard from people who attended Rockfield School in the post-war years. After hearing about where children played back then, they decided to create a map for today’s kids.
Designed by VS + YO and funded by Argyll and Bute Council and Oban, Lorn and the Isles Health and Wellbeing Network, the maps will be available for free at the Rockfield Centre.
