THE OCTOBER meeting of the Kilmore branch of the Scottish Women’s Institute was held on Wednesday October 12 when president Anne Ferguson welcomed 20 members for a corners evening.
The Duke of Argyll, Archie, Rory and the staff of Inveraray Castle welcome John and Anne Butterworth from Bolton as the 100,000th visitors to the castle for the 2016 season.
Margaret Whitton took the cross stitch corner, Ann Sorley showed members how to draw and colour trees in pastel and Jennifer Shaw showed members linotype printing. Tea was served and competition winners announced as follows: Christmas card, any craft – 1 Maimie Nicholson; 2 Fiona Dickie.
