Partnership sees improved services on Uist

THE HIGHLAND Council and Jobcentre Plus have united to improve services.

The partnership follows the opening of a Jobcentre outreach point at the Balivanich council office in Uist. Carol Dutch, manager of Jobcentre Plus for the area, said: ‘I am committed to maintaining a high standard of service across our local communities and welcome the opportunity to move services to Benbecula. This provides a ‘one-stop shop’ where customers can access our services alongside those of our partners’.
