A MULL entrepreneur has been given £5,000 to start Grow Grow Grow, a project turning unused ground into market gardens, to help the growth of local jobs and food.
The Rev Liz Gibson, one of 19 people sharing £94,500 from the Social Entrepreneurs’ Fund, hopes to provide employment, work experience and volunteering opportunities, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables to the island community.
Rev Gibson, a Church of Scotland minister, said: ‘Grow Grow Grow intends to contribute to what is already a thriving local food culture on Mull.
