LEARNER drivers are to benefit from an increase in the number of car driving tests available on Hebridean islands.
Learners in Na h-Eileanan an Iar were facing a wait of several months to secure a test booking from the Driver Vehicle and Standards Agency (DVSA) with some being forced to travel to a diffierent island or even to the mainland to take a test.
The DVSA acknowledged the issues following a letter from MP Angus MacNeil and have created more availability for tests in September and October.
