As a photographer, the concept of finding your voice is one of the most difficult hurdles you have to overcome. The idea of a ‘voice’ in itself is so broad and enigmatic that it can be difficult to explain. Yet, when you observe the works of history’s great visual artists: Basquiat, Sebastião Salgado, Fan Ho, Gordon Parks, Salvador Dali, etc., you immediately get a sense of who they are and what they want their work to portray.
