A new documentary film The Ponds – Still Waters Run Deep sets out to answer this and other questions. Filmed independently by Patrick McLennan and Samuel Smith, the film is a tribute to the restorative qualities of the bathing ponds on Hampstead Heath, described by one swimmer as: ‘A bucolic antidote to the white noise of London’. It is filling arthouse cinemas around the country and is attracting international attention.
