Pacenotes Rally magazine Issue 119 - Feb 2014 Back Issue

February Edition is on sale now!

Welcome to our first issue in 2014, and already the buzz is back in Rallying not to mention here in the Pacenotes offices.

Our front cover is graced with a replica of the famous Mini, 33 EJB, which won the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally. Inside we have an in-depth feature of the car, which was built and owned by Graham McConnell. When legend Paddy Hopkirk saw it, all he said was, “It's better than the car at Gaydon.”

The World Rally and European Championships for 2014 kicked off, and we have in depth reports from the Monte Carlo and Janner events respectively. The good news was that Kris Meeke has joined Citroën and Elfyn Evans has lined up with M-Sport and both drivers have a full campaign ahead of them this year.

Martin Holmes takes his usual and unique look at the opening round in Monte Carlo, and then reminisces about Rally Sweden in times gone by.

We pay tribute to the loss of two Gentlemen of Irish Rallying, and look back fondly and remember both JJ Fleming and Neil McCance who recently passed away.

Tucked away inside this months edition is a full and detailed outline of all the Major Uk & Irish Rally Championships for this, and is a very useful guide to what is on and when... get those travel arrangements made!!

We have our usual Rally round up and reports, with the likes of the Jack Frost Stages, Grizedale Stages, Longmoor Loco, MGJ Engineering Stages and a comprehensive report on the Initial Rentokil Killarney Historic Stages too.

Sean Moriarty has a great feature on the “Dawn of Road Closure” and the Napier D50, which is a really interesting piece indeed.

Enjoy the read!
