#163 February 2018
It’s a New Year and a New issue of Pacenotes Rally Magazine.

Gracing the front cover is the amazing Ford Escort of Tommy Doyle in a magnificent “Back to Black” feature for In my Garage. You can read all about how Philip Case Rallysport built the car from scratch into what is now one of the best Escorts out there.

Once again, we have the most comprehensive Rally season guide for all our readers to delve into and plan for the rest of the year. WRC, ERC, Irish Tarmac, British Championship, Scottish Championship are just some of the series that are featured along with website and contact details for all the events included.

Martin Holmes looks ahead to the 2018 WRC season launched at Autosport recently and in his Retro feature looks back at the career of High Bishop.

We get ready for the 2018 Rally season with an in-depth interview with former Irish Tarmac Champion Eugene Donnelly, who has announced a three-year deal with MRF and a Hyundai R5 along with a few other surprises. Continuing our Hyundai theme, our own intrepid Jason Curran gets behind the wheel of the latest i30N Hyundai and proves a track test and report on the latest Hot Hatch to hit the roads.

We have another In my Garage treat for everyone with a superb feature on the Father and Daughter passion for Ford Anglia’s with Robert and Olivia Coulter with some super photos too.

Plum Tyndall reports on Kevin Lynch in the last of our magnificent seven series, while we also feature Sara Williams and her exploits in a Renault in France, while also picking up a prestigious award as well.

We report too from Autosport at the NEC, and have Rally reports on the Jack Frost Stages, Turkey Run Stages, Killarney Historic and the Jaffa Stages Rally to name but a few.
