Diego Quijano truly tells a story portraying a vehicle heavily worn down by weathering corrosion and innumerable paint chips and rust streaks to match. This can be a complex matter because of the intermediate scale used.

Vehicle with a winter camouflage by Luciano Rodriguez, an expert on the 1/48 scale. Winter weathering has been done with enamels worn down with thinner.

The concept of color modulation has been a recent concept in terms of armored vehicle painting techniques. This T-34 is perhaps the ideal vehicle to dwell in this concept at length, as explained by Javier Soler.

Pat Johnston’s proposal for a winter camouflage for the Hetzer is basically a hard edged camouflage pattern, weathered with a mixed technique involving oil paint, acrylics and enamels.
