Patchwork and Quilting Magazine September 2013 Back Issue

English
25 Reviews   •  English   •   Hobbies & Crafts (Sewing & Knitting)
We have a variety of projects for you this month. The UK is coming off the longest heat wave since 2006, so Indian Summer seemed an appropriate quilt for you. We have reached the final part of Hand Quilting for All where Jacquie Harvey has taught you all the tricks and techniques she uses in her prize winning quilts. Our Seaside Sampler takes us back to walking through the wet sand along the seashore. Layer Cake Frenzy is a Layer Cake friendly quilt and if you get the chance to watch Gaye’s YouTube video you will agree it is appropriately named.
Features this month include a Review of Region 12 of The Quilters’ Guild Exhibition. A couple tell us about how their joint project made a stunning quilt for their granddaughter in Passions Shared and Flower Kits tells us how Gillian Travis overcame a myriad of difficulties to make these – and give valuable empowerment to women and small businesses in India. These and lots more projects and features to enjoy!
