After years of reading books about philosophy, religion and psychology, I remained spiritually unmoved, scuffing my feet in the dusty foothills of my personal Himalayas. I was looking for a spirituality that would change my experience of life, but I couldn’t find it. I had no means to access the greener mystical pastures that I had read about. The only clue that I felt was authentic was that the heart was important – but what the heart meant in this context I didn’t know.
In a last-chance bid, I enrolled for an introductory week at the Findhorn Foundation on the Moray Firth coast: ‘An experiment where life is guided by the inner voice of spirit, where we work in co-creation with the intelligence of nature and take inspired action towards our vision of a better world.’€
