When I moved to Falmouth in Cornwall, I discovered Potager Garden. I was a woodworker and setting up as a traditional boatbuilder, so I rented a barn here. The owners were transforming the derelict garden centre, inspired by organic productive and ornamental gardening. It had a wonderfully calm, peaceful atmosphere and I realised I’d found something special. When I realised the owners weren’t able to continue running it, I decided to go into partnership with them. I simply couldn’t let a place that brought so much joy close down.
