Cook and food writer Diana Henry has written an inspirational cookery book – a follow-up to her immensely practical and reassuring Cook Simple. In her new book, Simple, she shares easy ideas on what to prepare midweek for your family, you and your partner, and weekend meals for larger gatherings. ‘Simple reflects the many changes our food culture has undergone during the past 15 years,’ says Henry. ‘There are more vegetable-only mains and wholegrain dishes, and the recipes use all the new ingredients we have incorporated into our cooking, such as pomegranate molasses, sumac and miso’.

The appeal of the book is clear – it’s ‘effortless food with big flavours’, and, as Henry says: ‘There’s no one who can’t cook. You don’t need many skills to feed yourself, your friends and family well. You don’t have to be a chef – I’m not. You just need some inspiration to help you turn the ordinary into something special.’
