Bruce McArthur’s victims will be focus of a book by reporter Justin Ling

MCCLELLAND & STEWART has acquired rights to publish reporter Justin Ling’s authoritative account of alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur and the string of missing men from Toronto’s Gay Village. [Editor’s Note: Bredin is a friend of Ling’s.]

Ling has been covering the cases of missing men from Toronto’s Church-Wellesley neighbourhood since 2015, first for Vice and then for The Globe and Mail. Research for the book is already well underway: Ling has spoken to the families and friends of McArthur’s alleged victims, cultivated sources on Toronto’s police force, and reported the LGBTQ community’s fears of a serial killer years before police confirmed that explosive theory.
