Barnes and Noble has applied for a liquor licence for some of its stores, though it’s unclear whether the booze is intended for customers or the beleaguered staff.

A Toronto design company created a mobile bookstore called the Book Pedlar that is mounted on a bicycle. The contraption has a chalkboard sign, adjustable shelves, and canvas rain shields, but, curiously, no place to display the liquor licence.
