Jeremy Klaszus (review, p. 24) is a National Magazine Award–winning journalist and a correspondent for Monocle. He writes on a wide range of subjects, including cities, travel, politics, and baseball, and ghostwrote Ian Tyson’s bestselling memoir, The Long Trail. He lives in Calgary.

Grace O’Connell (review, p. 37) is the author of the novels Magnified World and the forthcoming Be Ready for the Lightning. Her work has appeared in various publications, including The Walrus, The Globe and Mail, Taddle Creek, and The Journey Prize Stories. She was the recipient of the 2014 Canadian Authors Association’s Emerging Writer Award, and teaches creative writing at the University of Toronto.
