MIchelle latImer, founder of Streel Films, didn’t expect to find her next project when she picked up Eden Robinson’s novel Son of a Trickster. “I wasn’t actively looking for properties, just a good book to read,” says the filmmaker and actor, who in March teamed up with Jennifer Kawaja, co-founding producer of Sienna Films (Cardinal, Combat Hospital), to acquire TV rights to Son of a Trickster and its sequels.
