Canadian Comics Open Library calls for a new order in how graphica is catalogued

NICK DRNASO’S Man Booker Prize inalist Sabrina, Julie Maroh’s lesbian romance Blue Is the Warmest Color, and Alan Moore’s seminal superhero deconstruction Watchmen are among the titles that greet curious browsers at the Canadian Comics Open Library, a volunteer non-proit aiming to build a diverse collection of comics. The project’s founder, Rotem Anna Diamant, likes to have as many covers front facing as possible. “It’s like having artwork on your shelves,” she says admiringly.
