A pioneering Eurostar built at the start of the 1990s poses in York alongside Stevenson’s ‘Rocket’ of 1829
A EUROSTAR power car built by Alstom almost a quarter of a century ago has reached its final destination – a place of honour within the National Railway Museum in York.
The Eurostar fleet is being enlarged with 17 Siemens Velaro trains, each 400m long, which are being built specifically for service on High Speed lines both in Britain and on the continent.
