SINGLE MINDED PROFILE

Canadian National Team Single Sculler Carling Zeeman

Strong willed, fiercely competitive and comfortable only when doing things her own way, Carling Zeeman has been steadily climbing the world rankings in the heavyweight women’s single scull since winning Bronze for Canada at the 2012 U23 World Championships. Standing at six-foot one, the long, lean ‘Zeemonster’, as she is affectionately known, has both the physique and the personality of a world class single sculler. Finishing a credible sixth in her debut Senior World Champs last summer and winning the opening World Cup in Varese last month, the 24-year-old is already rubbing shoulders with the likes of Emma Twigg of New Zealand and Jeannnine Gmelin of Switzerland. How far will she take it? As far as she wants.

THE 24-YEAR OLD IS ALREADY RUBBING SHOULDERS WITH THE LIKES OF EMMA TWIGG AND JEANNNINE GMELIN.
