COCKER ROCKETS
The Cocker Championship was held at Dunira Estate in Perthshire and the
sheer exuberance of these pocket rockets was impressive in itself. Jon Kean reports from a tremendous event. To qualify for the Kennel Club Cocker Spaniel Championship you need a first place in an open field trial stake that has taken place since last year’s championship. The winner of the previous year’s championship is also eligible to compete without qualifying. Well, this year forty Cockers qualified, although that number was down to thirty six by the start at the outstanding Dunira Estate in the heart of Perthshire.
