Lancashire based, Martha Blackburn started her training with a BA (Hons) Textiles in Practice from the Manchester School of Art, followed by a spell there as an Art Technician and Artist in Residence. It was during her three-year training on the Royal School of Needlework’s Future Tutor Programme in hand embroidery that she really began to bloom and blossom.
