The 116th Bath Society of Artists’ annual open exhibition opens at the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath on October 2 until November 20. Over 250 paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures by top local and regional artists will be on show, with prices to suit all pockets. The exhibition has become a key element of Bath’s artistic calendar and provides an opportunity for artists all over the country to showcase their work, with a range of prizes on offer. The society was founded in 1904 with 26 members and over the years has included many distinguished 20th century painters amongst its ranks including Walter Sickert, John Singer Sargent, Philip Wilson Steer, Patrick Heron and Mary Fedden.
