You could say that things have been up and down for me in the last ten years. Well, more like the last twenty if I will be honest. In the early years, I became a bit of a Facebook beauty doing amateur modelling for a few makeover artists. These including the greats, Jodie Lynn of the Boudoir London and Dafni Coco of Dafni Girls in Madrid, Spain. As well as some of the smaller artists all over the UK. I also seemed to be a bit of a crowd magnet as well. One example of this was one lady called Lucy Lovelace, who had asked me for her picture one night at Pink Punters. ‘So this is what it feels like to be a celebrity’ I thought as I stood there posing for the camera. I did feel like asking for a pen at that point, as I thought it would only be a matter of seconds before pieces of paper started to be shoved under my nose asking for autographs.
It was at this time I also happened to see an article in Transliving magazine that was advertising for radio presenters. I was between jobs at the time, so I thought I would give it a try. It was then that I was given the contact details of one Lucy Clark, who was the owner and producer of an internet radio station called Trans Radio UK. At the time she was looking for DJ’s and presenters. Close friends had always said that I had the knack of presenting, so I should give it a go. One e-mail later (yes, that’s all it took), and the rest, as they say, is history. But as all DJ’s will say, you do need a handle. And in my case, I already had one. At the time as well, I had recently started driving Class One HGV’s for the first time, (that’s the one with the trailers for all those who don’t know their trucks).
