As we claw our way out of a national lockdown, hopefully in good health, we realise how much we take for granted in life, and loss of freedom has to be the hardest thing of all. I know sadly some of our readers have lost loved ones during this time and some have themselves suffered this dreadful illness, I hope by now everyone is recovered and jabbed. My niece caught it working at Pentonville Prison and my sister caught it courtesy of working in the hospital. Thankfully they are over it now.
How will we react when we are at last to meet with our friends as we did just over a year ago, will we want to hug and kiss them or will we still be wary of past events? Will the first question be “have you had the vaccine”? I have had mine. I just so miss so many people as I am sure many of you do. The helpline has been busy the last year with desperately lonely people calling, and I’ve had an overload of emails. Also, I think everyone who has something to sell has emailed too. I have been busier than ever.
