My journey to Alternative Miss London 2016 Crown

This competition is not just all about the beauty and the glamour, but also about how you carry yourself onstage while showing your personality alongside. Most importantly, it is all about the costumes, and you have to have all the packages, to get through the competition.

I am very grateful to Miss Vicky Lee the promoter of the Wayout Club (London’s transgender club), for giving us the platform to showcase and celebrate our sexuality as transgender women, while showing it positivity to the audience that night. Getting the crown was not that easy as it took a lot of preparations for me to get ready and be there in order to take part. It took me ages to think of creativity costumes to come up with; sexy dresses to not to be cliché about just being sexy and to stand out amongst other contestants, and lastly, the Long Gown competition, to show them the other side of me being serene and classy after showing off my toned body that night. Thank goodness that competition was done overnight so I can now enjoy eating out all the time without thinking of my figure at last! I managed to get the judges’ majority votes and proved to them that I deserved the crown that night. That night, the environment at the backstage was very peaceful and fun, no negativities or bitchiness happening. The organisers Vicky Lee and her team were all very kind, helpful, and so considerate to all the contestants. We were all having a laugh backstage and enjoying ourselves, especially the photoshoot with the one and only official photographer of The WayOut Club – Ricky Dixon. The night was hosted by ‘our Mom’ Vicky Lee with her co-host Miss Alexandra Marie Diaz.

About Transliving Magazine

Hi and welcome to issue 55 of Transliving International. In this issue, we feature Amanda Richards from America on the front cover. Amanda shares with us her photos and tells us all about her journey as a t-girl and her makeover-service business. This issue also includes a report with photos from our Laguna Bournemouth Weekend from last December which again was another enjoyable and successful weekend. We also feature Defy Models, which is a new modelling agency catering for the transgender community only, and is the first of its kind in the UK. I have spoken with the founder, Mark, at great length on several occasions and he has lots planned for the future. Transliving are also planning to get involved with some of it, but for now, if you fancy yourself as a model but have always allowed your trans status to put you off, or indeed have been refused work because of it, then please do check the feature out on Defy Models in this issue and make contact with them. One feature included this time is Sexual Health, and it is something that we should all be geared up on and pay extra attention to, particularly if you are not in a monogamous long term relationship. I know that the discussion of sex is somewhat still a taboo subject within our community and many prefer not to discuss it, but my motto is; ‘if you're doing it then enjoy doing it but at least know the facts about Sexual Health and that you're safe!’ PLUS all our usual sections on where to go out in our Scene Guide, TV/TS Contacts, Events, readers' personal real-life stories & experiences, fabulous photo-spreads, advice on fashion, makeup & image styling, Information, Support and so much more!.... What more do you need? With so much going on it’s no surprise that Transliving is THE go to magazine for the Cross-Dressing and Transgender community and their friends and lovers all over the world!
