Jack P Shepherd talks about heading one of Corrie’s best-loved families as the soap prepares for next week’s live episode. As ITV celebrates its sixtieth birthday next week, which will include a hugely anticipated live episode of Corrie on Wednesday 23rd September, one Street family will be at the centre of the action – the Platts. At the helm of this much-loved unit is David Platt, played by Jack P Shepherd, who will fight tooth and nail to protect his wife Kylie (Paula Lane) and kids from evil drug dealer Callum Logan (Sean Ward). Once one of soap’s most notorious tearaways, David has come a long way.
